Wete

Wete roughly translates as 'The Mother' in Amharic and is another interesting microlot we have secured from the Konga Mill. We have found this coffee to be bursting with vibrant but classic Ethiopian coffee qualities with a vivid orange flavour profile - think apricot and orange. The Konga Coop is considered to be one of the most successful cooperatives in the Yirgacheffe region. It runs a washing station located at 1850 masl and the cooperative consists of over 1500 small hold farmers, who grow coffee in the surrounding hills on an average farm size of 1 acre. Due to the size of the farm, and the fact that farmers will grow many other crops amongst the coffee trees, these coffees are called 'garden coffees'. The region is noted for rich volcanic soils and spectacular coffees, and we have been purchasing from the Konga Coop for many years now.

Hints of Peach, Lemon, Apricot & Almond

We enjoy as Espresso & Filter.

Country - Ethiopia
Region - Yirgacheffe
Coop - Konga
Varietal - Heirloom
MASL - 2,000 M
Process - Natural

If you select Ground for your coffee, please let us know your preferred brewing type (V60, Aeropress, Espresso Machine, Plunger etc.) in the checkout comments section. If you do not specify we will grind by default for Espresso Machines (Small / Fine). Thanks
